Using vacuum technology, the Vacutherm utilises the air around us to veneer and laminate both flat and shaped components for a variety of woodworking trades, including furniture making, boatbuilding, shopfitting, kitchen manufacturing, in fact wherever there is a need for curved doors, panels, rails etc. In addition the Vacutherm is ideal for forming shaped parts in Corian or other Solid Surface materials, when coupled with the Mikutherm preheating machine.

Short cycle pressing is achievable with a choice of heated platens and the optional ThermaWing infra-red heater and laminated components can be pressed with one-piece formers only, eliminating the need for female formers and saving on development time.

Finance available and optional standard or heated platens with a choice of sizes + the optional overhead heater.

FEATURES

Vacuum System - High quality, high performance, dry running, mainenance free, rotary vane vacuum pump, with vacuum reservoir for super fast evacuation of air.

Membrane - Unique, tear proof silicone rubber membrane with quick-fit mounting system. 2mm thick, 800% elongation to break, temperature resistant to 320° C, tensile strength 10Mpa, tear strength 48kW/m - mounted on extruded aluminium frame, supported on gas springs.

Platen, choice of

Multi holed, gold anosdised aluminium, pressurised water heated platen for fast curing of adhesives when veneering flat panels.

Multi-holed, gold anodised, electrically heated platen, for fast curing of adhesives when veneering flat panels.

Multi-holed, high pressure laminate platen for shorter production runs.

Control Panel - Push button operation for control of vacuum pump and solenoid valves, with digital timer temperature controller and vacuum gauge.

Machine Body - Robust powder coated steel frame with doors front and rear for access to filters.

•

Platen Sizes (nominal) - 1200 x 1350, 2100 x 1350, 2600 x 1350, 3100 x 1350, 3800 x 1350

At the touch of a button, the solenoid valves open to evacuate the air from under the high stretch, silicone menbrane and as the vacuum is produced, the atmospheric pressure creates a uniform force in excess of 1800 lbs/ft2 over the whole pressing area.
