Bag PressBag press

The principles of bag press technology are simple. Atmospheric pressure is very heavy; we have over a ton per square foot pressing upon us at sea level. When the air molecules are removed from a container - even in small amounts - atmospheric pressure immediately becomes evident.

When air is removed from a closed bag press containing a veneering project, two things happen. First, as the vacuum is created, atmospheric pressure bears down on the work inside the bag press with perfect uniformity and enormous pressure. Second, as air is drawn out of the cells in the surface structure of the wood, glue is sucked into these cells. The results are dependable and consistent veneering.

2002 marked the launch of our new bag press systems, redesigned for greater efficiency and ease of use.  We have added a carrying frame to the Standard Bag press for convenience and completely redeveloped the Professional Bag press with a faster, quieter and lighter pump. In addition the hose and connectors have also been upgraded to match the greater speed, making this best selling kit even more efficient.

At the top of the range we have added the brand new Industrial Bag press. This is equipped with the most powerful pump in the range and comes with a build-in, 4 port manifold for multi-bag pressing. The high-speed evacuation of the Industrial Bag press makes this the ideal choice for running the largest of bags and makes the perfect partner to the new and unique Bench Press which will be available from February 2003.

Each kit comes ready for use straight away, complete with a bag, hose and connectors and is engineered for quality and reliability. The pumps are of compact, maintenance free construction and are designed to run continuously against a vacuum for perfect laminating.
